Is there any way to cut my own hair?

I just need a basic hair cut, but have no means to get to a hair place. I'm usually gone when everyone else is home and have no way to get anywhere and don't know the area very well..

i think it can turn out okay, or maybe even good if you just cut very little by little. don't do anything dramatic that you might really regret.

I cut my ends all the time. make sure you part your hair evenly down the back and bring in forward, take one section and slide your figures down it (hiar between your fingers) keeping the hold tight. that will give you a true length. otherwise it'll be crooked. snip your ends. if you want something more drastic than just a trim, Good luck!

you need a flobie, the hair vacumn that cut your hair the same lenght

Yes just look at your hair and cut it even.

Sure, do as I did several years ago. Buy an inexpensive set of clippers and buzz it off. What a relief to iliminate hair from my daily life, no combing, washing, styling and I use the $20 bucks I saved by doing it myself to go out to dinner.

Yes - take a mirror and some shaving cream. Rub the shaving cream all over the mirror and then cut your hair with scissors and vacume up all of the hair and stuff and then wash off the mirror so the next person can use it. This is the best way.

Sure. You can buy some inexpensive hair clippers and get a small mirror to see the back. The clippers usually come with clip settings depending on the length you want your hair. I put mine on two. It takes me about 5 minutes to run the clippers over my head. And wa la my hair cut is done.

There are a lot of ways to cut your own hair, but I personally wouldn't reccomend it. I've tried doing it myself, and it turned out horrible. It really depends on how long your hair is. But here is a way to do it:

1. Have an idea how they do it in hair salons.

2. Buy a pair of scissors made specifically for for cutting hair. Buy or use a hand-held mirror that can be placed so you can see what you are doing on the back.

3. Wash, or brush your hair prior to cutting. If your hair is short, take a small section on the rear of the front, comb it smoothly, and put the hair in between your first and third fingers on your left hand. Move the fingers up towards the ends, and cut evenly. For long hair, just comb smoothly and evenly cut the ends depending on how short or long you wish to have it.

4. Use the same method for the rest of your hair. You might want to move your fingers up or down depending on how short or long you want to leave that particular section.

5. Cut the back of your hair, by looking in a mirror in front, to look at the mirror behind you. Set the mirrrors up so that you can get a good view of the back of your head or have someone hold the mirror for you if it's hard to do both.

Good Luck!

don't even think about it....

Is there any way to cut my own hair?

there has to be someone. dont do it yourself. that will look really bad, sorry.

Is there any way to cut my own hair?

Sure, you can do it! It's important to have good, sharp hair-cutting scissors, a comb, and sturdy hair clips.

Cut hair when wet, and always cut less than you think you should (you can always cut more, but short bangs seem to last an eternity...).

It's important to part/section hair evenly (4-6 sections), and cut with the scissors at the same angle on both sides. (If your hair is short, it's best to have a friend with good eyesight and steady hands to help with the back...)

If you're just trimming bangs, the easiest way is to gather the hair that makes up your bangs, comb straight out over your nose, then twist tightly until it forms a small rope. Cut the ends with the scissors pointing toward your nose instead of directly across the the existing bangs (looks more natural). Then, release the twist and the bangs should be perfectly even.

When you think you're done, comb hair in small sections in different directions to see whether there are any major noticeable differences in length. Trim accordingly. Cutting the ends with tiny snips in the same direction as the hair (as opposed to across it) will produce a more natural results.
