that decision should be based on the shape of ya' face (i.e. oval, square, etc.) there are a few make overs on line that you can try before you go ahead with the cut.

i guess you have to up load a picture of you then select various hair cuts to "see" how they fit you. However if you don't have a long horsy type of face go for a short cute fringe (mid forehead, so the sudden change of look won't scare you, then you can move up or down with it's length as you wish or prefer). they make you look younger and are trendy. all the best!

Don't get a fringe if your hair is curly or prone to frizz in anyway. A trim is the best way to go as fringes are a nightmare to grow out

Look through lots of magazine at hair cuts. Ask the hairdresser if a fringe will suit you.

Also, fringes will grow out! if it doesn't look good it will be gone in a month or so. Or you could use hair slides.
